Classy Events & Prop Hire Terms & Conditions (ABN 25 989 673 495)

  1. Hirer must pay 50% deposit to confirm the booking (excluding bond) within 5 clear days of invoice date.
  2. Any cancellations by client after 5 clear days will forfeit all deposits paid.
  3. A security bond amount will be advised in the quote which is payable at the time of delivery.
  4. Full payment must be paid prior to or at the time when the items are delivered at or picked up. Classy Events & Prop Hire reserves the right to cancel the event/Hire if full amount is not paid at the time of delivery/pickup.
  5. Classy Events & Prop Hire is unable to accept EFT payments. Funds can be paid in cash or via bank transfer.
  6. All quotes issued by Classy Events & Prop Hire are excluding GST (Goods and Services Tax).
  7. Security bond will be refunded in full within 3 clear days provided the items are picked up/returned in their original condition.
  8. For any unforseen reasons, if an event/Hire is cancelled by us, we will refund the full deposit within 3 clear days.
  9. We will not be liable for any additional cost which the client may have incurred due to us cancelling the event/Hire.
  10. If an event is cancelled due to natural disaster, act of god, riots, war or any other such event, hirer is not liable to pay the balance.
  11. In case of any breakage, the Classy Events & Prop Hire reserves the right to keep the monies paid in bond and seek additional monies from the hirer if it is costing more to fix the damage.
  12. The Hirer acknowledges that during, and outside of, the Hire Period, Classy Events & Prop Hire retains full title to the Equipment, subject only to the rights of the Hirer as a mere bailee of the Equipment, with a right only to possess and use the Equipment, in accordance with and under this Agreement.
  13. Classy Events & Prop Hire will not be liable, whether before, during or after the Hire Period, for any loss or damage that the Hirer suffers arising from, or caused or contributed by, Classy Events & Prop Hire’s negligence, nor will the Classy Events & Prop Hire be liable for special, indirect or consequential loss or damage as a result of a breach by Classy Events & Prop Hire of the Agreement, including but not limited to loss of profits or revenue, the costs arising from the loss of the use of the Equipment and the costs of any substitute Equipment, which the Hirer acquires.
  14. Although great care has been taken by Classy Events & Prop Hire to accurately reflect Equipment in photographs displayed on our website and/or other advertising material, you agree and acknowledge that these photographs are for illustrative purposes only and may vary from Equipment depicted or described.
  15. A valid Australian driver’s license must be presented upon picking up hire items. If the hirer is unable to present a Valid Australian Driver’s license, Classy Events & Prop Hire reserves the right to cancel the hire.
  16. If the hirer fails to mention that the venue has stairs at the time of hire request, the hirer will need to pay additional charges for delivery, setup and pickup. This will be minimum $100.00.
  17. Client must bring the suitable vehicle to pick up the items. If on the pickup day, it is raining and the items are not covered properly and we deem the items to be damaged due to rain, we reserve the right to cancel the booking and no monies will be refunded.
  18. If an event is held outdoor and it rains at the time of setup, we may not be able to complete the whole setup and only items that cannot be damaged due to wet weather will be setup and we will not be liable to refund the amount for the unused items/props.
  19. For any event setup, an adequate time will be required for delivery and setup. If for any reason the venue is not ready on time for setup (such as previous event has not finished on time, setup area is not clean, venue is not open), we may not be able to complete the entire setup as agreed and we will not be liable to refund the monies for the unused items/props.
  20. If the setup area is not clean and we have to clean the area, additional charges may apply at reasonable rate.
  21. Although we always try our best to provide the setup as discussed with our clients but at times, the decoration layout may be changed due to venue limitations or for any safety reason/s.
  22. It is client’s responsibility to ensure that the venue has adequate parking so that we can easily deliver the goods. In the event of where an adequate parking is not available or we have to park far from the venue, additional delivery/labour charges will be charged at reasonable rate.
  23. We reserve the right to cancel backdrop or any other prop installations if we deem it unsafe due to weather or unsuitable venue conditions and we will not be to refund the monies for the unused items/props.
  24. Classy Events & Prop Hire shall not be liable for any license or parking fees required for venue/outdoor setups. All fees incurred must be paid by customer.
  25. All props hired by the client must be returned in its original condition & packaging. Glassware must be returned cleaned & dry. Wax/Cake leftovers must be cleaned off. Failure to do so will incur in loss of bond.
  26. All items must be returned by due date as specified on invoice unless prior arrangements have been made and agreed with Classy Events & Prop Hire.
  27. If the items are returned later than the agreed timeframe, a late fee will be deducted from bond ($50 or 20% of hire order charged per day – whichever is greater).
  28. Full replacement cost must be paid by customer if any storage boxes or containers provided get damaged during hire period.
  29. Classy Events & Prop Hire shall not be liable for any loss or damages arising out of the exceeding rated capacity for the equipment, overloading, misuse, or abuse of the equipment by the customer/guests.
  30. Any items lost must be paid in full by customer within 7 days. Failure to pay within 7 days, Customer must pay all fees relating to debt recovery.
  31. The Hirer must provide Classy Events & Prop Hire with easy and necessary access to the Delivery Address that is safe and proper for the Hire Period. The Hirer agrees that they are liable for all injury, loss and/or damage suffered by Classy Events & Prop Hire, our employees or agents, while at the Delivery Address.
  32. Both Classy Events & Prop Hire and the Hirer agree that any disputes arising from the hire and use of the Equipment (except concerning payment of fees or charges) shall be negotiated with a view to settlement.
  33. By confirming a quote via email, signature or deposit payment, the Customer acknowledges & agrees to these terms & conditions.
